E. coli has been foundin bagged spinach in 8 states. One person from Wisconsin has died and 50 people have gotten sick so the FDA is warning people to NOT eat any pre-packaged bagged spinach right now. The states where the E. Coli was found include: Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico,
Oregon, Utah, and Wisconsin.
FDA officials do not know the source of the
outbreak other than it appears to be linked to bagged fresh spinach.
"We're advising people not to eat it," said Dr. David Acheson of the
Food and Drug Administration's Center for Food Safety and Applied
Nutrition.
What is E. coli? Someone tell Popeye to lay off the Spinach for awhile.
