Supermodel Petra Nemcova openly admits to using laxatives
Modelizers know Petra Nemcova best as a Sports Illustrated cover girl, a highly coveted spot, and a Victoria's Secret catwalk queen. Of late, she's also been the arm candy of singer James Blunt, of "You're Beautiful" fame.
In the October 2 issue of People magazine, Petra talks about her struggle to stay stick thin straight in order to make it in model-topia.
"I'm naturally more curvy, so I always had to lose weight...I took laxatives. I went through all of it just to be able to model."
Indeed. Supermodel admits to making laxatives a part of her daily diet. I hope the point of her admission is to warn young girls to NOT do this, and that it is incredibly unhealthy and dangerous to use laxatives to stay and become model skinny. Some could interpret this is as the opposite, "Hey, see. To be a top model you need to pop pooper pills."
