New York fashion week goes Sept. 8-15

Olympus Fashion Week in NY officially kicked off on Sept. 8, and will go through Friday, Sept. 15. This week is all about the 2007 Spring Collections.

All the models are size 4 thin, but fashion shows are all about fantasy. The shows are supposed to draw out of us our desires to be thin, pretty, adored, and "in." Despite the fact that most of us wish the catwalk queens wore more realistic sizes, we can still appreciate the creativity of the designers. The sea of colors, textures, patterns, and combinations is something to behold. Many of us would never wear a leaf hat on our head, or have hair that looks like a tumble weed (on purpose), but we can still groove on the wild expression of imagination and flair.
