Listed below are links to weblogs that reference The top modeling agencies just don’t get it:
Spain fashionistas slammed their foot down and said, “No mas! Get those gaunt and emaciated models out of here, and for heaven’s sake get them a plate of Paella!” And now, Milan Italy is hinting that they will enforce a similar ban on starved catwalkers. Bravo!
But NO! Just like a juicy Spanish novella filled with drama, Spain’s decision has caused the major modeling agencies to get their size 2 thongs all in a bind. Why are you pointing your judgmental “fattie” finger at us?
What skinny Kool-Aid is Ms. Gould drinking? Spain is not discriminating they are encouraging. Spain is setting boundaries in a fashion world who’s distorted lenses are literally hurting people, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Spain is simply bringing to light a serious problem, which everyone knows exists yet no one does anything about, in an industry which has gotten out of control.
Spain is saying that it will not be a part of the problem any more but a solution. My hope is that Spain’s actions will cause a Tipping Point in the fashion industry.
