Freedom Is Not Free is a non-profit group that is helping to raise funds to help ease some of the burdens of our nation's service men and women, and their families. They just launched this hunky calendar for some fund raising.
I grew up on military bases, and I must say that I don't ever remember seeing soldiers like these guys. Obviously sex sells. However, I wonder a moment out loud, is it okay for a non-profit to use beefcake as a way to raise money for their cause?
Part of me feels like it is whoring, and then another part of me feels that fund raising is such a tough thing for non-profits that why not use what you got. This group has access to hunky men, and beefcake calendars are popular sellers. And then I get pulled into the idea that if the non-profit has a powerful cause that people resonate with, then there is no need to use sex appeal for fund raising projects. What do you guys/gals think?
