Mayor London Warbucks will cut off the dough if he sees size 0 models on the catwalk

The mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, is tired of seeing gaunt, skeletons prancing around the catwalks during London fashion week, so he'll cut the purse strings from future shows if the model-thinnies don't shape up, literally, and get some meat on their bones so they can pass the 18 and over BMI test.

The London Development agency has given 620,000 GBP ($1,154,494 US bucks) over the last 3 years for the twice-yearly London fashion week. That is some serious mullah, and it is surprising to me to know that government dollars, or pounds in this case, is spent on catwalking.

SWEET! Someone in a position of power is setting some financial boundaries. A powerful way to get these delusional fashionistas to get serious about the too-skinny problem is to hit them in the wallet. I'm all for the mayor and his effort to take a stance. My wish is that more funders of fashion weeks around the world do the same thing.
