If you are like me, and are really into design, and seeing some far out things then go check out the blog mod*mom, a blog written by a very hip mom featuring some of the coolest and most interesting designs related to baby, kids, mommy, gifts, home & garden, and breast cancer awareness. This blog is also a great place to get inspiration for gift ideas.
The pictures alone are worth looking at. I grabbed a couple of my favorites. I love the kids building blocks because it looks like something that will appeal to girls. Auntie Stephanie likes to give her nieces gifts and toys that will help develop their minds and spirits. I am so anti-dolly. The bathroom with a wall of TP is just super cool. I think I would have fun just filling up that wall.
The wonderful thing about introducing design driven products to children is that it is a way to introduce art and design to them since the schools are taking away so much of the "right brain" activities like art and theater. It is a way to stimulate creativity and open thinking. It shows the kids that there are different ways of looking at everyday objects. And, mainly, it's fun!
