I'm keenly trying to take Katie Couric serious as a hard hitting night time anchor woman, and for the most part I do, but then there are times when dear Katie slips down a slippery slope greased with hair gel like in this First Look clip. Watch Katie with her green salad  talk about tornadoes and bus accidents while taking a make-up primping break.

We then move from real-life tragedies to the raw deal of CBS News Employee of the Week, Lori Beecher. All I can say is if I was Lori and only got a handful of Hershey kisses for busting my hump to get a juicy interview, I'd pull a Whitney Houston and say this to the honchos.
