Victoria's Secret wouldn't pony up for more than $5 million a year for a new contract so Giselle Bundchen said adios. That's alotta clams for posing in your skivvies. VS doesn't seem to be ouching too much because they have handfuls of rising stars to choose from and obviously for much cheaper.
Personally, I think it's great that Gisele was able to get that much loot in the first place, but will her leaving hurt Victoria's Secret's sales at all. I say no. Should Gisele get more than $5 million/year? Please! It's underwear and some clothes for goodness sake. It's not like she's curing cancer, starvation, or creating world peace. Okay, maybe "hot girl" peace for the guys, but for the women, the majority customer of VC, another pretty girl will take her place and we'll still buy the "Body by Victoria."
