Since this is a chat in my head, it doesn't have to make any kind of logical sense, so humor me. But yeah, there are times when I envy mannequins. I know it sounds completely stupid to be jealous of a faceless and sometimes headless plastic figurine whose only job is to display clothes, but hear me out.
This is where mannequins have it good:
- They are the first to wear all the new cool clothes in the store.
- Everything fits them and looks good.
- They have someone to dress them so they always match and look stylish.
- They are a perfect size 4 their entire lives. They never gain weight, lose weight, wrinkle, or sag. They will look the same until someone throws them into a firey pit of recycled waste.
- They don't have to worry about their health or health insurance because they never get sick.
- No one has high expectations of them, so they can never disappoint.
- They will wear more fabulous outfits for free in their lifetime than I could ever imagine.
See! See how the mannequins have it good? Yeah, they are aren't real people, but so what. The green eyed monster isn't always logical, and there's a nugget of truth in everything, even in my twisted non-sensical thoughts of envy.
