Drink water to let go of water
Your body needs water, and so many of us don't drink enough it. Here's something that may motivate you to take more water swigs. You know how your body will adjust your metabolism to preserve energy if you do not eat enough calories, well it does the same thing with water.
Your body needs water to operate and if it senses "water famine" similar to "calorie famine" it will adjust and hold onto to every drop of water it can get its hands on to preserve survival. So, if you're not drinking enough water because you think it will just add onto your water weight than you are teaching your body to hold on to dear life the little water it possesses. It doesn't know when the next "rainfall" is coming, just like we prepare for drought when there hasn't been enough rain in the year to fill our reservoirs.
When you start drinking enough water on a consistent basis, your body sees "Oh look, water comes regularly so I don't need to fight to hold onto any water I can get because I see that a constant flow of water is available to me." Therefore, your body doesn't need to hold onto water like it used to. And you should be drinking plain water, not sport drinks, sodas, juices, fruit flavored waters in lieu of water thinking "Well, liquid is liquid."
Water produces high quality results in your body because it hydrates your insides, it makes your skin glow, and it helps to flush out the toxins in your body. How much water should you drink? Here's a quick general formula:
Your weight divided in half = # of ounces you should drink
(example: 150 / 2 = 75 ounces)
