Nintendo wants you and I to get Wii fit

I'm not a gamer and in no need of a game console like the Nintendo Wii, but that may change. Yesterday at E3, Nintendo announced "Wii Fit", a game that is all about working on your fitness, as Fergalicious Fergie would say. With the Wii Fit you can do Pilates, Yoga, find out your BMI, learn how to balance, dance, play soccer, and workout with others in front of your TV.

The game comes with a Wii Balance Board which you stand on. It looks like a flat mini bench from Step class. The Board detects your movements and reflects them in the screen along with whatever workout you're doing. The Wii Fit can also track your progress so you can see your improvements.

I haven't tried the game myself, but from the video it looks really interesting, and a clever way to convince more moms to get that Wii little Johnny has been dying to get. I can also see more girls playing with the Wii Fit as well, and it's something Mom and daughter can do together for fun. I'm all for things that help us screen watchers off our duffster, and burning calories. Weeee!!
