After spending over $525,000 on plastic surgery, media still dogs on Demi Moore about aging
The image of Demi Moore in that bikini glistening on the beach in her hot 40 year-old body in the movie Charlie's Angels Full Throttle gives me goose bumps every time I think about it. Demi looked way better at 40 than she did at 25, and we all knew that some serious plastic surgery was involved, but it seemed okay in a way because Demi still looked natural. That's why you pay over half a million bucks to good nip/tuckers so that the work doesn't look like work.
It's been four years since that bikini-tastic movie moment, and Demi is showing signs of deep wrinkles on her face and grey hairs, and the media folks are on her case about her signs of aging. For crying out loud people, give the woman a break. Demi turns 45 on November 11, not 95. She's happily married to a hottie, she's got 3 healthy daughters, she's a Producer, an investor, and still had time to appear in the Bon Jovi long version video of "Destination Anywhere." The woman has earned her "stripes" so let her have 'em in peace, and even with the wrinklies she's still a classic beauty topped with that sexy husky voice.
Demi added too about the realities of being an actress over 40 years old. She says,
"It's been a challenging few years being the age I am. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don't know what to do with me. I am not 20. Not 30... There aren't that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don't have much substance, other than being someone's mother or wife."
Ouch. Tough business. Which is one reason we can't wait to see the Sex and the City movie next year, all the ladies are over 40 now. And as far as Demi goes, we'd love to see her in anything. How about a Ghost sequel, but in heaven?
