Victoria's Secret has minority mannequins

Vsmannequins I'm sure this isn't new (hopefully), but the Asian and African American mannequins in the Victoria's Secret window at the mall this weekend got my attention big time, particularly the Asian mannequin because you almost never see female Asian mannequins in the windows of big name retailers in the U.S. It was actually a pleasant surprise even though the image of 5'10" size 2 real Asian women is yet another fantasy. I'm 5'7" and considered an anomaly.

As well, you almost never see any Asian models on the runways of the major fashion shows in Europe and the U.S. I'm not saying that you won't see any, I'm just saying they are about as common as African American golfers. In fact, come to think, even though VS has the Asian mannequins, I don't think I have ever seen an Asian model in their catalogs or runway shows. If anyone has, please share.

Still, Victoria's Secret is one of those retailers that is far more about fantasy than reality, and on some level, we are okay with that because it is fun to have girlie moments in that store and dream about the sexy, vixen you that lives in every woman.
