There is no "official" word on how Kanye West's mother Donda West passed, but from multiple sources it's looking more and more like her death was the result of complications from cosmetic surgery; a tummy tuck and breast reduction rumor has it.
I debated on whether to talk about Donda West's death because yes it is related to the dangers that could happen from plastic surgery which most people get because of vanity reasons, but this is someone's mom. I know mom's aren't excluded from the dangers and pitfalls of vanity, and I don't know Kanye West personally, but it's his mom who looks like such a sweet lady and beloved mother. This whole thing just really makes me feel bummed. She was so obviously dedicated to her only child, and loved being by his side and being his support as his career is shooting to super stardom. She also seemed like a very positive role model to Kanye and others.
Many people don't realize that you can die from plastic surgery because it's not like you're cutting up organs, mostly just skin and outer tissue. Plastic surgery is not something to take lightly, and something where it is very important to listen to the doctors and get multiple opinions if you have to. If the doctor is telling you that your body cannot handle the procedures, then listen to them.
Vanity is not worth dying for because you don't like what some doctor is telling you. I'm not saying Donda West defied her doctors. Some sources say she did. No matter. The point is that surgery can be a tricky thing, and although most people come out just fine, there is still the possibility that things could turn deadly. Before you go under the nip/tuck knife, think hard. Is it really worth the risk?
Update: My bad, I forgot to mention too, really important, is to check up on your plastic surgeon. What are his/her credentials? What is their reputation? Just because someone has a medical degree doesn't mean they are good. Word now is that Donda West's plastic surgeon has a sketchy background.
