• Forget about seeing the Spice Girls reunite, I would go to a concert just to see Geri Halliwell's abs. Have you seen the "Headlines" video, and the promo shots for the tour? Geri's abs are frickin' amazing. And considering she had a baby via C-section and she's 35, the abs truly are impressive. I'm not envious often, but in this case, I'd love to have abs like that. • Turns out that being overweight may be to your longevity advantage, as one group of federal researches discovered that those who were "overweight" had the lowest mortality rates of all weight groups. "Overweight" is that section in the BMI scale where you are between "Healthy" and "Obese." Maybe a mild case of muffin top isn't looking too bad now. [NY Times]

• Since I'm all paranoid about metals toxicity now, here's something to make stomachs churn. Cans of cashew nuts sold by the Girl Scouts in western Washington state are being recalled because metal shavings were found in the cans. Maybe the shavings were actually ground up pieces of Girl Scouts flair! [Seattle PI]

• Good thing Alicia Keys listened to her mama and went back to the drawing board. Alicia's real last name is Augello-Cook, but she wanted a stage name so she initially thought "Alicia Wild" was a cool sounding name. Mama said, "It sounds like you're a stripper." We agree with mama. [WJLA]
