Dietician Kerri Glassman was on the CBS News Early Show yesterday for a segment called, "Blogging to Lose Weight" to talk about how blogging can help one lose weight. During Kerri's talk there are snapshots of various weight loss blogs and Back in Skinny Jeans is amongst the group along with some of my fellow bloggers in the Women's Health magazine Dec 07 article "You've Got Motivation."
Woo-hoo!
Kerri calls blogging about your weight loss "Journaling on steroids." I'd also call it "blogatherapy" because as an emotional eater, blogging has helped most with accountability and growing as a person. Here I can talk about what I am feeling and what emotional triggers drive me to overeat, not exercise, and get off track from my muffin top blasting goals.
I have met so many wonderfully supportive, smart, and fun people through Back in Skinny Jeans. More importantly for me too is that sharing my experiences is helping others feel less alone and helping others get closer to achieving their goals. I can also attest to the fact that sharing your experiences can help you feel like you are making a difference which is far more fulfilling and less caloric than eating a tub of Rocky Road!
