For Valentine's Day week, the theme for this weeks Two Tiny Changes is Heart Sexy. Again, for long term success, it is best to start making tiny changes, changes that hardly take any effort but will add up in the long run, and will not trigger your Inner Resistance Monster, that part of you that fights you when you start making big sweeping changes.
Tiny Change Ideas:
- Instead of getting your sweetie a box of chocolates for Valentines, try a beautiful bowl of organic strawberries or a fruit basket with some aphrodisiac type fruit like: apples, bananas, figs, or passion fruit [via Fruit & Veggie Guru]
- If you normally wear worn-out, grandma-type, or plain white panties, try one day wearing a sexy thong. No one has to know except you, and if you have a special Valentine this year, let them get a little sneaky peeky.
- If you don't have a special Valentine sweetie this year, buy yourself a bouquet of flowers and pretend it's from your imaginary husband. Like is says in The Secret, your psyche doesn't know the difference between reality and pretend, so why not start acting like you already have a hubbie who loves to woo you on Valentine's. Some of my imaginary husbands include: Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Blair Underwood, Liev Schreiber, and the yummy Clive Owen.
- Ask your sweetie to do one workout together this week. You could go for a walk, go on a hike in the woods (& you could bring a picnic), go kayaking in a double, or rent a tandem bicycle and bike in the park (another picnic bringing opportunity).
- Try eating some organic chocolates this Valentine's Day. Organic chocolates will be free of high fructose corn syrups, or any other processed sugars. You'll also be supporting farmers who operate their businesses under organic standards. The chocolates may be a bit pricier but you will really enjoy the taste, and heck V-Day come only one time a year.
Two tiny changes I did last week:
- One night I went to bed at 11pm. That is 2 hours earlier than I normally do.
- During one emotionally stress filled day, I refrained from buying a cookie at the Whole Foods bakery. I always eat a cookie when I get emotionally stressed.
