Oprah Alert: The New Earth Class starts tonight

Tonight is the first day of the New Earth Class at Oprah.com with O and Eckhart Tolle. Class is a 90-minute LIVE web event. Doors open at 8:30/7:30 C and class starts at 9/8 C in the US. Since all classes are online, they will be available afterwards for you to watch if you miss class tonight or any other night.

I'm going to be doing the class, and will blog about it. I'm going to create a separate blog for this to give it it's own space. I'll let you all know the link tomorrow.

I started reading Eckhart Tolle's stuff 4 years ago, and he has some very insightful and expansive views of thinking. Hie book The Power of Now helps you with being "present", being consciously present in the moment. New  Earth is about Life Purpose and becoming more of the real authentic you by helping you break down your ego's influence over you.

There is a great deal to learn from both books, and many of the principles can be even applied to weight loss like being consciously present in the moment can help you be a more conscious eater versus a mindless eater. You can learn how to become more aware of how certain foods feel in your body and how they make you feel overall.

Or, using food to stuff your emotions may be another way you are stuffing your feelings of sadness or depression because you are not living your life purpose. You are not doing what you truly love or want to do for work, so you continue to stuff with food to not feel that ache in you. I lived like this for almost 10 years, and I can attest that once you decide to start walking in your heart's passion for work, much of the stress and anxiety that contribute to your over eating related to work issues will disappear. But Eckhart's message is much bigger than this and I can see why Oprah is behind him.
