Captain's log: 03102008 Day #8 of 30 Total Walk time 1 hour 45 minutes.
How about going on a walk and seeing a 100 foot picture of David Beckham and his Johnson in his undies? I have to say that it was a bit too much bulge in my face for a Saturday morning. Don't get me wrong, I think Davey boy is hot and all but still can we pace ourselves.
They definitely put this 100 ft version up for the gays because we are talking San Francisco after all, and what a smart choice. I love how people were milling around the art festival in the park across the street as if they don't even notice that a gargantuan Beckham is poking them in the face. Consequently, all the park benches face towards David, so you have no choice but to stare at Dave's woo-woo.
On Saturday, I took my walk in the Union Square part of downtown San Francisco (it's like our high end fashion district) because I had to go to an invite only event at the frou-frou and fabulous Clift hotel hosted by a very large tech company who is about to launch a very exciting thing targeted to women.
I cannot tell you who or what it is yet because we are sequestered to secrecy until next week, but I have to say that what I saw truly made me excited beyond words, and it felt very much like the people upstairs (referring to God and the angels) are sending some huge solutions to my prayers. At the event, I did get to meet Ms. Kelly of Fitness Fixation, who has a fabulous blog about fitness you must all visit. She is such a cool person in the flesh as she is in her blog. So go visit her now.
Near the hotel Lindt chocolate was giving away chocolates and they had this bunny car. Isn't it just precious. Love the ears!
By the way, for all of you coming to the BlogHer 08 conference in July, the Macys that Becks is hanging from is kiddie corner to the hotel the event is at, and you are smack dab in the middle of shopping heaven so you'll definitely be able to get your fashionista groove on. The BlogHers are really smart.
I felt like a million bucks after I left the event and strolled around downtown amongst all the chi-chi fashion stores. And to top off all the excitement and bliss I was feeling, I ran into this heart statue. If I was looking for signs, this heart was definitely a good one of things to come.
