Funny: Birthday cake then and now
I saw this card at Target, and got it for my sister-in-law for a birthday giggle. It's kinda sad but true, yet a hilarious statement to our quest to get back into the skinny jeans. Birthday cake used to be so simple.
Personally, birthday parties count as a "FREE" day in my book, so I eat cake and enjoy it. If I choose to watch it, I'll skip the scoop of ice cream. Tough though when you have one of those scrumptious ice cream cakes from Baskin Robbins. Oh! I LOVE those cakes!
I'm curious. Have any of you had to have multiple cakes at a birthday celebration in order to accommodate for food plans or sensitivities? Or did you chuck the cake, and serve a fruit platter with candles on it?
