Your vegan experiment sounds great. You've certainly been adventurous with your food options!

The adventurer in me loves experimenting. I also wanted to stay clear of your typical carrot and broccoli. Years of dieting have made me blah on those veggies. Don't get me wrong, they're good veggies. I've just eaten way too many of them.
97 wow! Enjoy the summer like weather!

I love the idea of your vegan/gluten experiment. I'm seriously considering going vegan - just to give it a try...a la the book Skinny Bitch. Some of their recipes are great, and I wonder if I would feel better?
I usually make their stuff and then put regular dairy products in it. I'm not sure I'm ready for gluten-free!

Hmm, secret protein source? Is it... people?
Oh, wait, that was Soylent Green.
I won't give away the secret, but now that I've checked it out I have to say I'm surprised. Gotta say, it sounds pretty repulsive to me-- but if you say it's tasty I'm prepared to believe you.

Ya know Crabby, when I first heard about this protein source, I though the same thing, but being open minded, I tried it and it's tasty. What I'm learning though is that the brand matters. The first brand I tried was not enjoyable. This new one is a huge improvement and definitely one I'll consume beyond this experiment.
