Strengthening Your Core Physically and Fiscally

Skinnydebtdiet_fitness In fitness, I loved when the emphasize changed from working the abs to strengthening the core. We can thank yoga and Pilates for that.

Yes, abs and core are the same thing, but the word "core" is so much deeper, and it is true that when your core muscles get stronger, it also helps you feel stronger spiritually and emotionally because of the physical power you're gaining. It's all intertwined. When you start to feel physically stronger it gives you a more centered sense and a feeling that you can handle more.

When it comes to our finances, money is the core to our living, and so if you can strengthen the core in one area of your life you can no doubt do the same thing in another area, your money. It helps to remember too that health is wealth. Strengthening your fiscal core along with your physical core is important too in creating a solid stable foundation for your life, and isn't that a nice grounded feeling?

So today, for the Skinny Debt Diet, we have the fabulous MizFit to show us an easy exercise that can help you strengthen your physical core. Over at Wesabe, you can check out discussions on what others are doing to beef up their financial core. Any of you have any cool suggestion to strengthening the core physically and fiscally?
