Yup, Tuesdays are the day you get props for making and taking the smallest of actions towards achieving your health goals. We're all about tiny here because even a minute action like eating one less bowl of ice cream or taking the stairs instead of the elevator is better than doing zero.
As well, tiny actions and steps are more likely to stick long term because the small changes fall under the radar of your Inner Resistance Monster. We know that when that IR monster of yours is provoked watch out, the brakes kick in big time because controlling monsters don't like change. We get stuck in the comfort zone which is comfortable indeed, but doesn't get us any closer to our desired goals and dreams.

Who knew 10 seconds could be so big
For today's simple exercise, look in the mirror, take 10 seconds, and give yourself a compliment. Something fast and easy. We're not doing one of those touchy feely affirmation exercises where you lather yourself with praise. Nope. Just 10 seconds. Look yourself in the eyeballs and say one nice thing, smile, walk away, and go about your business.
So why just 10 seconds? Because we want short and straight to the point. I don't know about you, but sometimes doing those gooey "I love myself" affirmations can just make me feel down right cheesy, and I just don't wanna do it, so I end up not. But, 10 seconds, well, anyone can commit to that.
But, the bigger point is that you're doing it. You are giving yourself some self props even if it is as simple as, "I rock!" The more comfortable you get, you can do the 10 second compliment twice a day or for 100 seconds the next time.
To make the exercise even more love buzzing, give someone else a 10 second compliment. It will no doubt brighten up their day, and you'd be amazed how even just 10 seconds can make a HUGE difference to someone else and you!
