High five people to all of you who are making even the most minuscule of actions and steps in the direction of your health goal. Tuesdays here at BISJ are all about celebrating the small stuff because all these teensy actions do add up over time.
You won't get results lickety split, but you will get changes that have a much higher chance of lasting long term because you did them gradually without shocking your system, namely your Inner Resistance Monster.
This week, take two days, and one day eliminate just 10 grams of sugar, and the second day eliminate just 10 grams of fat preferably a saturated or trans fat. MUFAs like in avocado, nuts, and fish are good, you want to keep eating those fats.
For example, one packet of Sugar in the Raw, you know those brown packets of sugar at Starbucks, is 5g of sugar. So, if you normally use 3 packets of that Sugar in the Raw, use only one packet, and boom, you've trimmed 10g of sugar.
By starting off eliminating just 10g of sugar and fat, you're making a step albeit small that is better for your health and will lead you to cutting out more sugar and fat from your normal diet (way of eating), again in a way that is slowly and that doesn't trigger your deprivation mechanisms.
