Skinnypdcst_0607Flabuless2_2 In Part II of our interview with Flabuless, the fabulous weight dropping diva from New Zealand, she shares how humor and blogging has helped her shed 95 pounds. In Flabuless' blog, she has cartoons like this one that depict real life stories in her life as a fat woman. Flabuless has such an upbeat attitude which makes her overall goal of losing over 150 pounds total much more fun and inspiring. And that accent. I could listen to her talk for hours just to hear that Australian/New Zealand accent mix. For Part I, please click here. Enjoy!

Podcast interview: New Zealander and fellow fitblogger Flabuless on losing over 100 pounds Part I

Flabuless Skinnypdcst_0607 One reason I love the Internet is that you can meet people from all over the world. Today, we Yankees will get a treat and hear from blogger Flabuless from New Zealand who is on a journey to lose about 150 pounds, and to date has dropped 95 pounds with the help of a Lab Band and blogging.

In Part I of this two part interview, Flabuless will share her defining moment to lose weight, what it's been like being a newly single mother with two young kids, how her Lap Band surgery almost didn't happen, and exactly what kind of lifestyle changes she's had to make since the surgery. More talk on fat chatting

Pdcstchasingbeauty In this Chasing Beauty podcast, Heather and I contemplate more about the question FitSugar asked, "Are you a fat talker?" I think I'm almost phat talking this subject to death. I think it's an interesting topic though.

At one point in this podcast, I share a story about my experience with a casting director at a reality TV show audition.

Would Oprah succeed if she started her career today?

Pdcstchasingbeauty In this Chasing Beauty podcast, Heather and I contemplate whether Oprah Winfrey could be or would be as successful if she started her career in today's media climate. To me, Oprah's show is the only one that is like organic food for the soul, although Ellen would come in a close second, but Oprah has been around much longer. Listen in and tell us what you think....

On the death of model Eliana Ramos

Pdcastchasingbeautysm_1 For this week's Chasing Beauty podcast, Heather and I talk about the death of Uruguay model Eliana Ramos, and the need for the Council of Fashion Designers of America to beef up their "health initiative" requirements. It's time to pony up Americana fashionista honchos.

A podcast with the ladies of FitSugar

Fitsugar PopSugar is one of my all-time favorite celebrity blogs, and one of their sister blogs is FitSugar, a blog all about fitness, health, and wellness. What I love most about FitSugar is the holistic and upbeat feeling you get when you visit. FitSugar is a fun place to hang out.

I have the extreme pleasure of interviewing Susi, Jenny, and Denise, the ladies who make FitSugar a fabulous voice for vibrant living.

In this podcast, you will learn more about the backgrounds of Susi, Jenny, and Denise, and what their mission is with FitSugar. I also ask them about their opinions on the too-skinny model issue that is so prevalent in the fashion scene, and they share what their readers think about the model issue as well. Lastly, you will learn a little secret about FitSugar that even I was surprised to hear. Enjoy!

Would you get a boob job?

Pdcastchasingbeautysm On today's Chasing Beauty podcast, Heather and I ask the question, "Would you get a boob job?" It's Friday, so this question will make for excellent Happy Hour conversation.

Introducing our podcast show "Chasing Beauty"

Pdcstchasingbeauty Chasing Beauty, the podcast show I am doing with Heather of the blog MamaVISION is now live. Woo-hoo! In this podcast show, Heather and I will discuss various topics related to beauty and body image issues. The title we came up for the show reflects the pursuit for beauty, love, and perfection that many women endure in their lifetimes.

Heather is a former model, who in her teens and early 20's worked in Milan, Paris, and New York.  She is now a mother of two beautiful children, and a business woman in online marketing and advertising sales.

Heather's perspective and lovely personality brings out a shine in me, and I am pleased to be able to do this podcast show with her. Besides the two of us ranting and pontificating, we will also have guests to add to the conversation. Along with the podcast show, we have a blog where all of you are welcome to comment on our latest podcast.

The first 3 shows are live now, and our plan in the beginning is to do at least one new show a week. The podcasts are also available for download at our iTunes store. I am very excited about this program and I welcome all of you to come visit and share with us at Chasing Beauty.
