If you have a chance to see Tony Robbins live, I HIGHLY recommend it. I know he's Mr. Infomercial guy, but seeing him live is a whole other experience. He's coming back to the Bay Area in June, and I am going back. It's been 3 days since the Learning Annex Wealth Expo, and I'm still thinking about Tony's part. What I have stuck on the brain is the thing about raising your standards. Whatever you don't like in your life is merely a reflection of the standard you have held yourself in that area. For me right now, one thing I'm not liking is the direction my Back in Skinny Jeans blog has been going of late. It's not that this blog is bad, it's just not vibing with the intent that I started out with. I wanted to help other women, and I want to add value. I want people to come to this blog, and leave feeling good or empowered.
One blog I read regularly is ProBlogger by Darren Rowse. It's a blog about how to become, be, and get better at professional blogging. I highly recommend this blog to any of you who want tips and guidance on how to become a better blogger, and how to create a better blog. The other night, I realized that one of the reasons I like Darren's blog so much is that I leave feeling excited about something I can do with my blog or writing. I come back because I know there will be wonderful things to learn. It's very obvious that Darren holds very high standards for the quality of his work and value add on his blog. He especially does an awesome job of making you feel good about the possibilities of what you can achieve, and how you can grow. I want my readers to feel the same way, and I'm not there right now. That's okay. At least, I have something solid to shoot for now. Not quite sure how I'm going to do it, but I'll figure something out.
The timing is actually perfect for thinking. Matt and I are going back east tomorrow to visit his family. I will get to meet his (birth) mom for the first time, and experience my first Bar Mitzvah celebration. One of Matt's nephews is coming of age. The whole family is flying, and I'm looking forward to all the festivities. So, I'll be out until Tuesday. Please feel free to post any thoughts or inspirations while I'm away. I would love it! thank you ;-)
