Tried a new restaurant in North Beach (SF) yesterday called Panta Rei on Columbus @ Stockton. All the waiters had thick Italian accents, and suave bella commentary. The food here was divine. They had some interesting dishes that included wild boar and octopus legs. Nothing with tentacles goes in my mouth. Okay, I've opened the testicles pathway, so do me a favor after the chuckle, make a U-turn and come back.
The whole experience was fabulous. I got the Tres paste dish which was a feature of 3 different pastas: gnocchi, ravioli, and small tube. The sauces on my dish were like dew drops of garlic and tomato. Absolutely dee-lish! No meat though. I have been eating mostly vegetarian lately because I am finding that meat is making me feel tired and heavy, so I've been cutting down. MY BFF had the meat lasagne.
If you're coming to SF anytime soon, this place is a definite must try.
