In the past, I have encouraged all my readers and girlfriends to check out a truly remarkable online exhibit featuring women around the world
exploring the themes of love, money, culture, and the future as they
pertain to women in their 20's and 30's. The exhibit is called Imagining Ourselves which is put together by the International Museum of Women with Yahoo. My reviews are here and here.
The Imaging Ourselves exhibit originally ran from March through June this year, and was so successful and well received that it has been extended, AND, lucky you now have a chance to contribute. There is an open call for submissions, and there are going to be new themes this time around. Please submit content, and if you know of any other fabulous, talented young women, please tell them about this call. See details below:
------
We would like to invite you to be a part of the new global call for submissions
for Imagining Ourselves, an online global exhibit featuring art,
photographs, essays and film by young women in their 20s and 30s asking
them the question "what defines your generation?"
Presented in four languages, and on six continents, Imagining Ourselves seeks
to unite and mobilize young people to make a difference, to increase
the visibility of young women's leadership, and connect advocacy
organizations with a wider public.
If
you have a story to tell, images to share, a voice that wants to be
heard, we welcome your submission. We accept film, audio, images and
text. Get to know our online exhibit by going to www.imow.org and
clicking on the Imagining Ourselves exhibit. Read stories, view
artwork and film and listen to music and spoken word from the many
young women from all around the world.
Some of the themes we will explore this time around are:
- War & Dialogue
- Young Men – how do we see each other?
- Motherhood
- Image & Identity
- Online Film Festival
Help us extend our invitation to young women and men around the world.
Thanks for your support!
