Paying respects to another passing celeb, "Curly" Jack Palance
Jack Palance that actor who I loved as Curly, the tough leathery cowboy from the "City Slickers" movies, died today at the age of 87 of natural causes. Jack Palance became the pin-up for Senior masculinity when he dropped down and did one-armed push-ups at the age of 73 when he accepted his Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his Curly role in 1992.
The other thing I loved Jack Palance for was his unique yet slightly eery host duties for Ripley's "Believe it...or not." Remember that show, and that voice, that voice is unforgettable.
My wishes to the family and friends of Jack Palance.
