Don't bore Renee Zellweger with questions about her body and other nibbles around the skinny-sphere
While promoting her new movie Miss Potter, a reporter asked Renee Zelleweger what she thought of all the attention that was showered on the fact that she had to gain weight for the role of Bridget Jones. Renee replied, "It’s disheartening, because it is a reflection of what it is that we
value, and it is a superficiality that does not deserve the focus of
energy that it gets. It’s boring — and it sends wrong messages." Bravo! See why we love Renee so. [MSNBC]
Following her Golden Globe win, Jennifer Hudson was nominated for an Academy Award today for Best Supporting Actress for Dreamgirls. Let's cross our fingers for our Effie to win Mr. Oscar. Real looking ladies rock! [Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science]
Keira Knightley is suing the UK pub The Daily Mail because it said that she is lying about having the eating disorder anorexia after they put a picture of her in bikini looking very skinny. The Daily Mail story also included with said picture a story about a girl who died from anorexia. Keira is also challenging that she is not a role model that the girl was emulating thus causing the girl's anorexia. I think the paper is wrong in how it manipulated the story, but Keira has been looking very skeletal lately. [BBC News]
