As I get older, I have become more conscious about what I put on my skin, so I have been paying more attention to reading labels on lotions, creams, and make-up. I am most concerned about using creams and lotions that are not loaded with chemicals because whatever you put on your skin gets absorbed into your blood stream.
Lately, I have noticed the term "non-comedogenic." Comedogenic sounds toxic, huh? It turns out that "non-comedogenic" means "doesn't clog your pores." Ingredients such as mineral oil, cocoa butter and petroleum when put on your skin like your face, can clog up your pores. When that clogging happens, you can get acne issues.
For vibrant skin, it's best to let your pores breathe, and not drown them with oils that will plug them up, so look on the lables of your current creams and lotions. Let your skin be more alive. Ahhh!
