On Oprah's site, you can download a free pdf copy of Suze Orman's book, "Women & Money." You have until 7pm Central time of February 14th (today). I saw the PBS special Suze did related to this book of hers, and it was incredibly informative. Got me thinking a lot too.
The one point that still sticks in my head is, "Stop putting yourself on sale." How many times do we women devalue ourselves by constantly putting our services and talents on sale? Men don't do that, and it is one reason why men make more money and garnish higher value than women, they simply ask for more than we do. Simple example, the last time you negotiated a salary for a new job did you ask for the salary you knew you could get or the salary you felt you were worth? Sometimes that could be a $10-20K difference.
