It's Super Tuesday. Hillary or Obama. Who'll get California?
Let's take a momentary break from weight and our bodies cause this topic is just really juicy....
I live in California, and today, Super Tuesday, is going to be pretty revealing for many of us here because in an informal poll amongst my friends, we honestly don't know if Hillary or Obama will win our state. It's kinda freaky because usually there is always some kind of front runner, but this one is so close.
Yeah, we're a bunch of liberals here in the Golden State, and we definitely proved that when we elected the Terminator for goodness sake to be our Governor. So, a choice between a white woman or a black man for President is no shocker for us.
I'm not really into politics, but from a sociological perspective, I find the race between Hillary and Obama very fascinating. In fact, back in college 15 years ago, I remember being in a class where we discussed whether a minority man or a white woman would become President of the US first. Most in the class, felt a minority man would be elected first because at the end of the day he's still a man, and our country, still ingrained with traditional values, would want a man at the helm versus a woman even if he wasn't white. XY would win over XX. Now, a decade and a half later, we'll get to see who gets the first shot. Truly fascinating!
