Not only did Hillary win California, my home state, she won by a big margin. It wasn't even close. Honestly, I thought it would be a neck and neck race which is why I say, "Wow!" Apparently, Hillary did a better job getting the minority vote here. Overall, Obama won more states, but Hillary won the big # delegate states.
I don't know what to feel (yet). I'm all for something completely new & different in the White House, and the idea of a female president sounds really cool, but is Hillary the right choice? I wouldn't vote for a woman just because she's a woman, as I wouldn't vote for a minority just because I'm a minority. I don't necessarily think that Obama is the best choice either. Frankly, none of the candidates Democratic or Republican do much for me. But, it's still a long time til November.
What I do find impressive about Hillary's wins on Super Tuesday is the fact that our nation seems more open to the idea of a female president than I would have expected. Yes, I have some low expectations. Sorry. I have no problem being proven wrong though. Hillary's run is not a token thing. She's seriously making this presidential race really interesting and giving all the other candidates a hard run. That's impressive, male or female.
I know a health blog is not really the place to talk politics, but I'm curious, what do you all think of Hillary's big wins on Super Tuesday?
