Tuesdays are the day I want you to be proud of yourself for making even the smallest or tiniest of actions and changes towards your health goals because something modest like getting up out of your desk if you work at home and dancing for 4 minutes or taking one less bite of dessert when dining out is better than doing zero. All those little things add up over time.
Since this is the last Tuesday of 2008, a wonderful last exercise you can do is to start letting go of small things either physically or emotionally. Some examples:
Physical
- Books in your bookshelf someone else could enjoy or learn from
- That pair or pairs of skinny jeans in the closet you're holding onto {wink}
- Old food in the freezer
Emotional
- The faux pas one of your friends made months or years ago that really isn't a big deal today but you're still holding onto.
- The time you made a mistake, took responsibility for, and made amends for, yet can't stop wondering how you could have avoided making that mistake in the first place. It's done. Over. Time to drop it.
- Pick one less fight with someone you tend to fight with all the time.
Our lives can easily get clogged up with clutter which only serves to slow you down and to make less room for new stuff to come in like: good feelings, opportunities, or abundance. The more you alleviate your physical and emotional load, it can help you feel lighter and happier which is wonderful way to start a new year. What a great gift you can give yourself!
What are some small things you've let go of recently that helped you feel better?
