Tuesdays are the day we give you a high five for taking tiny actions or making small changes that move you toward your health goals. Teensy things like doing crunches or planks between TV commercial breaks or using one slice of cheese versus two in your sandwich are pocket size actions that help you attain your goals, and help make the transition to healthier habits far more easier and filled with less deprivation.
Something that is very helpful in helping people heal or feel better is laughter. All hail the power of the giggle! There are all kinds of studies on how laughter helps people through tough times and through serious illnesses. Remember the movie Patch Adams?
Take a second in your day to have a good laugh or be silly. Tickle your sweetie pie or kids. Make a goofy face. Or, find silly things online to laugh at like this 30 second video of dancing Shrek babies grooving to "Shake Your Booty." Oh, I love the part when bebe does the cabbage patch :-D
